Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and inventory management
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification in New York State
- X-Ray certification and proficiency with digital imaging
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA regulations
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software preferred
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
