Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Implement strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide chairside assistance during complex dental procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain inventory of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or Florida Board of Dentistry)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
