Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims using Epic EMR systems
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for commercial/government payers
- Resolve claim denials through appeals and documentation correction
- Analyze aging reports to optimize A/R metrics
- Comply with HIPAA and CMS regulations for coding accuracy
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charge capture
- Generate monthly financial reports for department heads
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency with NextGen/Epic EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing guidelines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- BS in Health Information Management preferred
