Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while ensuring comfort
- Assist dentists during treatments including restorative and surgical procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging technology
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Perform lab tasks including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
- Inventory management of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
