Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures with advanced equipment handling
- Maintain inventory and sterilization of specialized surgical tools
- Ensure optimal operating room equipment functionality
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless procedures
- Document equipment usage and maintain sterile environments
- Participate in surgical technology process improvements
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent required
- 2+ years experience in perioperative services
- Expertise in operating room equipment sterilization and maintenance
- Knowledge of robotic-assisted surgical systems preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to sterile technique and equipment safety protocols
- Alaska state license eligibility
