Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine acuity levels and appropriate care pathways.
- Prioritize patient flow effectively to ensure urgent medical needs are addressed immediately while managing the queue efficiently.
- Document patient interactions meticulously in electronic health records (EHR) to maintain accurate medical histories.
- Communicate with physicians and specialists to relay critical findings and coordinate treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding symptoms, home care, and next steps for ongoing treatment.
- Maintain strict adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active RN License in the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage, emergency nursing, or urgent care settings.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills under pressure with the ability to remain calm in chaotic environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
