Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and digital chart documentation
- Deliver chairside assistance during treatments and emergency procedures
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for clinical efficiency
- Train new staff on clinic protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (Massachusetts)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced dental practice
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dexis practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure clinical environments
- Associates degree in Dental Assisting preferred
