Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
- Take and develop digital X-rays (radiographs) and perform intraoral examinations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventative measures.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and coordinate scheduling.
- Maintain a sterile environment by strictly adhering to OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant license or certification.
- Experience with modern dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks with dexterity.
