Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols following OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient records and digital imaging systems (DEXIS/Radiograph)
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate with front desk to ensure seamless patient flow
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (CODA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
- North Carolina dental radiography permit required
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
