Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Manage patient flow, sterilization protocols, and inventory control
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain precise digital patient records and manage scheduling software
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient procedures
- Collaborate with hygienists and front desk staff to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sidexis) and Eaglesoft software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA sterilization protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for multi-quadrant procedures
- CPR certification and X-ray license (California Board)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
