Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist dentists during procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory sanitation standards
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Order inventory and manage supply chain for dental materials
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with front desk operations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification in Arizona (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- Experience with digital charting systems (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- CPR certification and willingness to maintain current credentials
