Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict OSHA compliance protocols
- Manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, and digital charting
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Provide chairside assistance during surgical and cosmetic procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or DANB required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Valid Colorado driver's license and reliable transportation
