Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument preparation and suction management
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems efficiently
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene practices
- Coordinate with front desk for seamless patient flow scheduling
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA status required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and knowledge of OSHA guidelines
- Strong communication skills and ability to build patient rapport
- Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Spanish bilingual preferred for diverse patient population
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional Saturdays
