Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before and after procedures
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms
- Assist in sterilization and processing of surgical instruments
- Document procedural information accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
