Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Document patient information and specimen data in electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient experience
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment at collection sites
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
