Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols
- Manage infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and instruments for efficient patient care delivery
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics and orthodontics
- Implement digital charting and manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene techniques
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (CBCT, intraoral cameras) and dental imaging
- Expert knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
- CPR/BLS certification and willingness to maintain current
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage patient anxiety
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
