Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient positioning
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and care
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures exceeding OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for seamless clinical workflow
- Delicate patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care protocols
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant Radiology (DAR) certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dexis practice management software
- CPR certification (BLS) from AHA or equivalent
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient rapport skills
- Detail-oriented approach to infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred for diverse patient population
