Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage sterilization and instrument processing following OSHA guidelines
- Perform chairside assistance with suctioning, material handling, and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and practice management software
- Coordinate patient scheduling and treatment planning coordination
- Order and inventory dental supplies while optimizing practice efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or CDA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Certification in radiography and infection control
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- Excellent knowledge of dental instruments and equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
