Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using proper infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and patient safety
- Maintain sterile instruments and operatory environments per OSHA standards
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Provide post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or Arizona state license)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and OSHA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification required
