Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Provide chairside assistance and patient comfort during treatments
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Coordinate patient scheduling and communication
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or OHDA preferred)
- X-ray certification and experience with digital imaging systems
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
- Valid CPR certification
