Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments per OSHA guidelines
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative and surgical cases
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate digital charting
- Administer anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care instructions
- Coordinate patient scheduling and recall systems efficiently
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- TX state dental radiography permit required
