Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during patient examinations and procedures with 4-handed dentistry.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (intraoral and panoramic) accurately and safely.
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) with meticulous attention to detail.
- Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and provide post-operative care instructions.
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.
- Assist in creating a positive and anxiety-free experience for every patient.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Current state certification or license to practice as a Dental Assistant in Colorado.
- CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
