Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Manage patient records using digital charting systems with HIPAA compliance
- Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Take precise dental radiographs and perform diagnostic imaging
- Deliver exceptional patient education on post-op care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate treatment plans and insurance verification processes
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 8 operatories
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification (RDA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Dental Assisting Diploma or Associate's degree from CODA-accredited program
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- BLS/CPR certification maintained through American Heart Association
- DEXIS/Carestream digital radiography experience
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
