Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment is ready for patient procedures.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and clinical procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photos.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts and verifying insurance information.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred).
- Current Dental Assistant State Licensure or certification (CDA/RDA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records systems.
