Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
- Radiography: Capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Operational Support: Manage dental charts, update patient records accurately, and prepare treatment rooms for patient arrival.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies, instruments, and materials as needed.
- Insurance Coordination: Assist with insurance verification and processing of claims where applicable.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) certification in the state of Arizona.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in taking X-rays (PANEX, PA, RVG) and operating dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex dental information clearly to patients of all ages.
- Professionalism: Strong attention to detail and a high standard of ethical conduct.
