Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person to accurately triage acuity levels.
- Apply clinical protocols to make critical decisions regarding patient management, disposition, and referrals.
- Provide clear, empathetic instructions to patients and families regarding home care and follow-up.
- Document all interactions and clinical findings accurately and efficiently in the EMR system.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain strict compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN License required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be current.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Triage nursing.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate patient concerns.
