Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suctioning, and patient positioning
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures
- Update patient records and maintain accurate digital documentation
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis, Sirona) practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
