Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist dentists during procedures
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Assist in emergency dental procedures and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Train new staff on clinic protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Radiology certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR certification and current BLS certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
