Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to strict infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during patient exams and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop high-quality digital or analog dental X-rays (radiographs).
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and verify dental insurance information.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing front desk duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- 1–2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization procedures.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
