Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits using provided systems
- Appeal denied claims with detailed documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Analyze account receivables and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure coding accuracy
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (we provide training on our systems)
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Ohio Medicaid and Medicare guidelines
- Ability to work independently with provided equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
