Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment strictly adhering to OSHA and CDC infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts, logging treatment history, and verifying insurance information.
  • Coordinate front-desk functions including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) required.
  • CPR and BLS certification must be current and valid.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients of all ages.
