Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment strictly adhering to OSHA and CDC infection control protocols.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts, logging treatment history, and verifying insurance information.
- Coordinate front-desk functions including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-ins and check-outs.
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) required.
- CPR and BLS certification must be current and valid.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
