Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during patient examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and cross-infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Patient Care: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Radiography: Perform and process dental X-rays (Panoramic and Periapical) accurately and in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts, and schedule appointments to ensure smooth office operations.
- Chairside Support: Provide chairside assistance including suctioning, handing instruments, and maintaining visibility for the clinical team.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Licensure: Valid RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in the state of Arizona.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry practice preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software and imaging equipment (e.g., Dexis, PicSoft).
- Soft Skills: Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
