Responsibilities
- Chair-side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and explain post-operative care instructions clearly.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (panoramic and intraoral) ensuring high-quality images.
- Administrative Support: Manage appointment scheduling, update patient records, and process insurance claims accurately.
- Lab Duties: Prepare temporary crowns, take impressions, and fabricate dental models as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
- Certification: Current state licensure or registration as a Dental Assistant (RDA) in Nevada.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
