Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with mobility issues, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary requirements and restrictions.
  • Monitor client health status and promptly report any changes, accidents, or medical concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
  • Administer medication reminders and accurately document care logs in compliance with company policies.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to improve the client's mental well-being and quality of life.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing, to maintain a safe living environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
