Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready.
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures, anticipating needs.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and other diagnostic images as directed.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and charting treatments accurately.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Process payments and coordinate insurance claims efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Licensure preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Proficient in using dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
