Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in strict accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiology) and intraoral images as required.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance verification and billing.
- Provide excellent patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant License (RDA) or equivalent certification.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks.
