Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Dental Assistant to assist our dentists in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with chairside assisting, radiography, and managing patient records efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and treatment procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient appointments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and care.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred, or currently enrolled in an accredited program.
- Current Arizona State Dental Assistant License.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., EagleSoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
