What You Will Do:
As our Dental Assistant, you will be the backbone of our clinical operations, ensuring every patient has a comfortable and efficient experience.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and empathy.
- Chair-Side Assisting: Prepare instruments, hand materials to the dentist, and ensure the patient's comfort throughout the visit.
- Radiography: Take accurate digital X-rays and develop them according to safety protocols.
- Lab Work: Create temporary crowns, impressions, and perform basic laboratory duties.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts, and handle appointment scheduling and confirmations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Dental Assisting Certification (CDA) or completion of an accredited program is preferred.
- Licensure: Current radiography certification and California Dental Board license (if applicable to state regulations).
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
