Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations to reduce loneliness and isolation.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or community outings.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical condition or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid North Carolina Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health, caregiving, or related fields preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- License: Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Availability: Flexible schedule availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
