Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs accurately
- Manage patient charts and update digital records
- Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort
- Coordinate scheduling and recall systems
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
