Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software and digital imaging systems
- Administer patient education on post-op care and oral hygiene techniques
- Coordinate front desk operations including scheduling and insurance verification
- Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Missouri state dental radiology license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- BLS/CPR certification from Red Cross or equivalent
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
