Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside support with proper infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records using advanced dental software (Epic experience preferred)
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal instrument sterilization
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant License (RDA certification preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current X-ray license
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
