Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and proper instrument delivery.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, explain dental processes, and provide post-operative instructions.
- Operatory Management: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and ensure the dental operatory is organized and clean.
- Diagnostics: Capture and process dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately using digital technology.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Infection Control: Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a dental assisting program is a plus but not mandatory.
