Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Take accurate dental radiographs and manage digital imaging systems
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and inventory of dental supplies
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-ray) systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software
