We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Mesa Family Dentistry. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a comfortable and positive experience. You will work closely with our experienced dentists to provide top-tier care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments and materials, ensuring strict sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Greet patients, update medical histories, and explain dental procedures to alleviate anxiety.
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records in our dental software.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (required in AZ).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-focused demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
