Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, charting, and scheduling remotely to support clinic efficiency.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and dental health.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and manage ordering processes.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida Dental Assistant License (CDA or RDA).
- Digital X-ray certification (or willing to obtain within 3 months).
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Strong communication skills with patients and clinical staff.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix, OpenDental) is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
