Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform intraoral and extraoral radiographic exposures, including digital X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and treatment rooms.
- Patient Management: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques.
- Record Keeping: Accurately update patient charts, maintain treatment records, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date in our dental software.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and assist in ordering necessary dental materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Dental Assistant license in the state of Ohio.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern imaging technology.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy.
