Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures with 4-handed dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure a sterile environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as prescribed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and charting treatment plans.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and CDC infection control protocols.
- Handle front desk reception duties, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and high standard of sterilization.
