Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure a sterile and organized environment.
- Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in California.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency with dental software and radiography equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
