Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during procedures
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and develop accurate images
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
- Assist in scheduling appointments and handling billing inquiries
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain a well-organized supply chain
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control standards
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas state dental assistant permit
